Barcelona Cathedral, a paradigmatic example of Catalan Gothic architecture, was basically built between the 14th and 15th centuries. It has a privileged position in the character of the city, both for its heritage value and for the enormous weight in the history of the country and in the faith of the people of Barcelona. The three large naves, surrounded by chapels housed between the buttresses, exhibit the overwhelming verticality of the Gothic style, translated on the outside in the façade and the pinnacles.
